The standard fee for a 50-minute psychology session is $230 per session. Payment is required at the time of your appointment and can be made via EFTPOS, bank transfer or securely using the payment card linked to your client account.

No referral is needed to see a psychologist in Australia.

If you have a valid referral, under the Better Access initiative, from your GP or Psychiatrist, you may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate of $101.55 for a standard 50-minute session, leaving an out-of-pocket cost of $128.45. Medicare rebates are available for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year, subject to Medicare requirements and review by your referring practitioner. Please provide a copy of your referral letter before or at your first appointment.

No, you don’t need a new referral. Even if your referral names another psychologist, you can still use it to see any psychologist you choose.

Psychology may be covered by private health depending on your level of cover. As policies vary, it is recommended that you contact your insurer directly to confirm your eligibility and rebate amount.

Please note that Medicare and private health insurance cannot be used for the same session. You may choose to claim either through Medicare (with a valid referral), or through your private health insurer.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, at least 48 hours is required. This provides enough time to offer your appointment to other clients. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or non-attendance, may incur a fee equivalent to the full session rate.

Please note that Medicare and private health insurances do not provide rebates for cancelled or unattended appointments.

We'll discuss what has brought you in, relevant background information, and your goals for treatment. There is no need to prepare anything in advance, and we will discuss things at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes, with the remaining 10 minutes allowing time for any necessary follow-up, note review and administrative tasks. Shorter or extended sessions can also be arranged depending on your individual needs.
